I am one of Claire's former students, who went on to fly the F-4E Phantom in the USAF. I like the compact form factor (200+ pages), easy writing style and good command of English (you won't find words like "gotten"). If you have any interest in the corruption and politics (oops, I repeat myself) in the cigarette industry, you will get a lot out of this book. This book wont make you an expert on a particular field but it will give you a general perspective of the main electromagnetic methods used, namely Finite Element Method, Finite Diferences, Moments, along with its variants.
The topics are not easy, its focused towards a first year grad student however the book is written very clearly, with the student in mind, yet without dumbind down the material. Britney Spears.
