This is just a marvelous, definitive book. I thought, "Right back to the traditional ways of teaching grammar. Her prose is strong and swift, full of delicate detailwork (the hallucinations of ice and death that constantly haunt poor Winter) and the odd funny moment (Carswell's roguish antics, including his penchant for "borrowing" things). The actual exam is A LOT more convoluted and the sample questions in this are a lot more direct than the majority of the exam questions. I would not recommend this book for a number of reasons. It is chock-full of art work and pictures that go along so wonderfully with the short articles, that if you had to spend the money for the magazines, it would cost you hundreds. The collection of DBP&D articles alone justifies the time and money.
What can be said of "the manifesto"; simply a must read for any competent data management professional.
This gentle reader could wax poetic still further, but the point is probably made by now
