This book is dedicated to students of architectural and structural engineering. It focuses on identifying and explaining the more basic, rather than detailed issues of conceiving and manipulating structural design options. It does so through a unique overall approach that emphasizes a total-to-subsystem hierarchy for learning about and projecting structural thinking into architectural design, and vice versa. It is unique because it makes it possible to introduce 1) structural design principles as basic form determinants, and 2) simplified methods for approximate analysis in both conceptual and specific terms.
Editorial :
Triola is no longer
involved in the manufacture of the product that bears his name. His life seems like one long meeting and he is reduced to climbing the walls. There wasn't much growth or development in the characters to justify the sudden change and they virtually ignored that they had sex almost immediately after it happened.
The whole thing ends up being a patchwork quilt with missing or mismatched pieces. He also becomes a lot more playful, which is a true joy to read. The best praise I can personally give this book (that hasn't already been said) is this: After reading Spaceman Blues I bought two more hard back copies and gave them to my friends.
This book is good stuff and if it signals a trend in the genre then I am officially stoked about our reading futures.. entertaining (much better than texting). If you are looking at this book, it is likely a required text for a course that you are taking. Jules Feiffer is a comedy genius, one of a kind. Spelli
