Luards books. Well written, lush with photos and perfectly laid out. Don't expect this subject to be easy - it's anything but that. Heat and mass transfer is a jumble of many different topics and applications, but Mills manages to give the subject some cohesion and derives most important results from the basic conservation equations. Having seen many texts on transport phenomena, Mills is definitely one of the best. The book proves that MTV hasn't just changed music, it has changed all media.. But then again, MTV has gotten us used to a little bit of chaos, anyway.
Happy Birthday, MTV!. Worst $45 I ever spent.. I bought it mostly because of its look, feel, and page after page of incredible photography. MTV is the school all the coolest kids went to. If that's all you're looking for, you could buy a Pantene color book. James seems to be the source for the main essay but the James book is more insightful in my opinion.
