As long as you can handle the task this book might be for you. It was all a huge illusion. WowI read this book during my weekend photoreading and mindmapping course with Tom Kavanaugh. And to the authors I'd say, "Either be stand up comics or authors of helpful car books, but don't try to be both!" (because you're failing miserably at it!). This survey of the problems of the American farmer in the 20th century exposes how rapid technological and scientific change brought both prosperity and new challenges to the farming community. My title says it all.
I bogged down just a little in the first chapters but then I could hardly put it down.. Why, in spite of being raised by Marcus Aurelius, and elevated to Caesar, did Commodus turn out to be such a dilettante? Why exactly did Commodus abandon the Germanic invasion Marcus had planned? Who supported or advised Commodus withdrawal and peace treaty? Outside of Perrenis, Cleander, Laetus, and Marcia, who did Commodus associate with?
